3d Battalion, 7th Marines WTI FINEX

Over the past weekend, Mojave Repeater and Silvus Technologies supported 3d Battalion, 7th Marines WTI FINEX aboard Yuma Proving Grounds with a demo and integration of Silvus StreamCaster radios.

Mojave Repeater and a Silvus Field Service Representative worked with the 3/7 HQ S-6 Platoon to integrate ground tactical radio and network services for command and control. We successfully interconnected the Silvus mesh with an AN/PRC-160 HF TACCHAT net. Additionally we networked MCEN via the NOTM system at the Blade Forward COC as well as Starlink white-line Internet. Each of these services was available simultaneously on the Silvus network. The team built out the Commanding Officer’s jump vehicle with a Silvus SC4400 radio, enabling the CO to operate HF TACCHAT, MCEN, Starlink Internet, and voice on one single radio while on-the-move.

3/7 Snipers were outfitted with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera and Silvus radio equipment to enable live streaming video of the objective to the maneuver force in the assault. Kilo Company, outfitted with StreamCaster radios and end-user device, was able to view the live feed, providing real time information on their objective.

With just two days of hands-on training and installation, the expert communicators and Marines of 3/7 were successfully able to integrate and troubleshoot Silvus Technologies radios. I was thoroughly impressed by their skill and ability to quickly learn the system and to successfully implement it during their exercise!
